Responsibilities

• Set up and operate GPS, total stations, levels and surveying instruments
• Ensure accurate data collection: measurements, angles and elevations
• Keep detailed field notes, sketches and records of survey data and site conditions
• Coordinate daily tasks and schedules to meet project deadlines
• Communicate with project managers, clients, engineers and stakeholders on requirements and progress
• Interpret survey data and provide recommendations for design and construction
• Verify data accuracy and cross-check measurements for precision
• Identify and resolve field discrepancies or issues
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and safety standards
• Maintain, calibrate, and care for surveying equipment and tools
• Report equipment issues to the appropriate department
• Prepare and submit detailed survey reports with sketches, maps, and data files
• Maintain organized records of survey activities and findings
• Contribute to project plans, estimates and schedules
