Job summary

Keeley Construction Group in St. Louis, MO seeks a Survey Crew Chief to lead a field survey crew across topographic, construction staking, and land surveys. The role focuses on accurate data collection, equipment operation, and timely reporting.

You will coordinate tasks with project managers and stakeholders, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and maintain survey records. Strong leadership and field problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of land surveying experience, with 1–2 years in leadership.
• Trimble equipment experience is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proficient with GPS units, total stations, levels, and data collectors.
• Experience with boundary, topographic, construction staking, and ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a field survey crew for topographic, construction staking, and land surveys.
• Set up and operate GPS equipment, total stations, levels, and surveying tools.
• Ensure accurate data collection of measurements, angles, and elevations.
• Prepare and submit detailed survey reports, sketches, maps, and digital files.
• Coordinate daily tasks and schedules to meet project deadlines.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, engineers, and stakeholders regarding requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards; calibrate and maintain equipment.
• Maintain organized records of survey activities and findings.
