Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp (QcellsUSA) is seeking a General Superintendent – Survey for the Operations division at the Ankeny, IA project site. You will oversee multiple Survey Superintendents, set up GPS systems, troubleshoot equipment, and train field staff to ensure accurate data collection and construction layouts.

This exempt, full-time role requires 7+ years of survey leadership, experience on commercial or utility-scale PV/BESS projects, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• 7+ years of survey leadership experience.
• Experience on commercial or utility-scale PV/BESS projects.
• Proven ability to train field personnel and manage teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations of multiple Survey Superintendents.
• Set up and initialize GPS systems per job site.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently.
• Train survey staff in safe operation of survey equipment.
• Maintain standards of procedure to meet project goals.
• Coordinate data acquisition from primary control through as-built surveys.
• Communicate daily with Survey Superintendents on schedule and progress.
• Hire, train, and manage staff to meet survey needs.
• Interact professionally with client representatives and landowners.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Prepare daily reports and time sheets.
• Maintain vehicles and field equipment.
• Occasional evenings/weekends as needed.
