Hanwha Qcells USA Corp (QcellsUSA) is seeking a General Superintendent – Survey for the Operations division at the Ankeny, IA project site. You will oversee multiple Survey Superintendents, set up GPS systems, troubleshoot equipment, and train field staff to ensure accurate data collection and construction layouts.

This exempt, full-time role requires 7+ years of survey leadership, experience on commercial or utility-scale PV/BESS projects, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
  • Prepare daily reports and time sheets.
  • Maintain vehicles and field equipment.

Theyare responsible forsupervising project models This position reports to the Field Operations Manageror another management personnel that the CEO of the companydesignates. This position is in Ankeny, IA and hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. Overtime and weekend working hours may berequiredas needed. This position is expected to travel up to100%.

  • TheGeneral Superintendent, Surveyoversees the daily field operations ofMultiple Survey Superintendents
  • Setup and initialization of multiple GPS systems per job site
  • Troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues efficiently
  • Training Survey Superintendents and other craft personnel in proficient, safe operation of various survey equipment
  • Setting andmaintainingStandards of Procedure in line withQcellsSelf-perform construction goals
  • Determinethe most efficient plan of action for data acquisition for field surveys ranging from primary control through construction layout and as-built surveys, as needed.
  • Understand and follow directions.
  • Proficient with documentation of work performed and sketches.
  • Communicate daily withSurvey Superintendentsregardingproject schedule and work progress.
  • Hire, train, and manage personnel sufficient to meetthesurvey needs of multiple projects
  • Interact professionally with client representatives and landowners
  • Read and interpret construction drawings/specifications and understand all aspects of the project specifications and tolerances.
  • Prepare daily reports, time sheets, and other required paperwork.
  • Maintain vehicle and field equipment
  • Regular attendance,in accordance withthe company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position
  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by Management

Required Qualifications 7+ years ofSurvey Leadershipexperience ispreferred. Experience in commercialor utility scale projects. Experience withvarioussurveyand GPSequipment/systemsispreferred. Strong communicationskills (listening, writing and verbal) Proven work history, strong work ethic, and team-player attitude Ability to travel for extendedperiods. Ability to work in all-weatherclimates. Good attitude,eager,willingto learn, proactive. (Preferred) Experience in constructing PV and/or ESS projects. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules,regulations,and quality standards Basic competency with email and basic computer functions Ability to prioritize workactivity. Ability to work within a team and take direction from teamleaders. Ability to work a variety of hours, including occasional evenings andweekends. ValidDriver’sLicense & Clean Driving Record
