Encompass Energy Services is seeking a trusted Survey Party Chief to lead field operations in Columbus, OH. The role involves boundary, topo, ALTA, and construction surveys for diverse clients using Trimble equipment.

The ideal candidate has at least five years’ civil surveying experience, residential project exposure, and proficiency with Trimble software and GPS. Expect independent fieldwork, equipment maintenance, and coordination of crew activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 5 years as civil survey party chief.
• Residential experience required.
• Experience on renewable and land development projects.
• Knowledgeable with Trimble Access, Trimble Business Center, Trimble robotic total stations, Trimble GPS and data upload/download routines.

Responsibilities

• Work as a one-two man survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients.
• Setup, operate and routinely validate accuracies of survey equipment including data-collector, digital level, and GPS system
• Perform and verify survey related mathematical calculations
• Prepare and maintain legible field notes and sketches for all work performed
• Perform stakeout and location surveys using applicable survey equipment
• Maintain all survey equipment and keep survey truck stocked with necessary supplies and tools
• Coordinate work of assigned subordinate personnel
• Make accuracy and calibration checks and adjustments on equipment used
