Southeastern Surveying & Mapping Corporation is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead field surveying activities, manage 2–4 person crews, and ensure precise measurement and documentation on projects such as roadway and utility surveys. The role requires operating survey instruments, supervising field staff, and maintaining equipment in challenging environments.

You will coordinate with the Project Manager, train crew members, and uphold safety standards while traveling to remote sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of survey experience as Rodman or Instrument Person.
• Must obtain necessary badges and certifications to enter sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead field surveying activities and supervise 2–4 person teams.
• Set up, operate, and maintain survey equipment (Total Station, GPS, data collector).
• Prepare field notes, align with project requirements, and document progress daily.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and customers; ensure safety standards.
• Travel to field locations as needed and mentor crew members.
