Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, seeks a Project Superintendent to oversee field operations on heavy civil construction projects. You will coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials, ensuring work is safe, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining relationships with customers and engineers.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil construction, with 3+ years in supervision. A CDL and knowledge of earthwork, grading, utilities, and roadway work are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of heavy civil construction experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
  • Experience with earthwork, grading, utilities, asphalt paving, site development, roadway construction, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience managing crews, subcontractors, schedules, and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily field operations on heavy civil projects.
  • Coordinate foremen, operators, laborers, truck drivers, and subcontractors.
  • Plan and schedule labor, equipment, and material resources to maximize productivity.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust work plans to meet production goals.
  • Ensure all work is performed according to plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Estimators to support project planning and execution.
  • Track production, quantities, equipment utilization, and workforce performance.
  • Assist with project scheduling and milestone tracking.
  • Identify and resolve field issues that impact productivity, cost, quality, or schedule.
  • Support change order documentation and project reporting efforts.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all job sites.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable safety requirements.
