Job summary

Clark Construction Group seeks an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations on large-scale heavy civil projects. The role emphasizes safety, quality control, and adherence to contract documents and schedules.

Responsibilities include supervising subcontractors, managing costs, and updating the project plan monthly. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success on active job sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with a large-scale heavy civil contractor or equivalent industry experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of the construction process, including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower.
• Experience leading field operations and supervising subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Champion our safety culture by conducting regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
• Supervise the timely and cost-effective installation of contracted work.
• Provide on-the-job training opportunities for Assistant Superintendents and Project/Office Engineers.
• Develop the project schedule and plan to ensure work is in place per contract documents.
• Update project schedule monthly and manage field costs.
