Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a skilled Field Services Technician to join our project engineering and deployment team. You will install, commission, test, and troubleshoot electrical, controls, networking, and mechanical systems in our fielded battery deployments.

An ideal candidate has 7+ years of advanced technical field experience with high-powered equipment and is adept at solving real-world problems while contributing to cutting-edge clean-energy technology.

Qualifications

7+ years of advanced technical field experience with high-powered equipment.
Expertise in complex systems integration and high-voltage troubleshooting.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience with industrial communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, Ethernet).
Proficient in documentation and asset management using collaborative tools.

Responsibilities

Support installation, commissioning, operations and maintenance of battery systems.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems to identify root causes and mitigations.
Perform software/firmware upgrades and network configurations.
Execute commissioning/test plans to characterize system performance.
Support on-site emergency response to minimize downtime.
Lead performance testing and document results to drive product improvements.
Maintain tools, vehicles, equipment, and safe project-site environments.
Travel up to 90% to client or project sites.
