Job summary

Peak Energy Technologies Inc. in Burlingame, CA, invites a Field Engineer to own on-site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of energy storage systems from pilot projects to large deployments.

You’ll work with design engineers, technicians, and contractors, turning field learnings into robust, serviceable solutions. Ideal candidates have strong hands-on electrical experience, ability to read schematics, and a track record in field deployments.

Qualifications

Background as electrician, electrical technician, or test engineer preferred.
Able to read electrical schematics and calculate electrical loads.
Experience with field deployment or energy systems.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Excellent documentation and training ability.

Responsibilities

Site Execution & Design Feedback: Collaborate with design engineers to ensure field practicality; troubleshoot field issues and feed learnings back into design; perform basic electrical calculations; support installation.
Maintenance & Reliability Programs: Develop preventative and reactive maintenance routines; support service planning for fleet reliability; create deployment playbooks and troubleshooting guides.
Documentation: Maintain service and troubleshooting manuals; manage document change control across teams.
Tooling, Inventory & Budget Management: Manage travel, tools, contracted services, and spare parts budgets; build spare parts inventory and logistics planning; ensure field tooling safety and provide feedback.
Training & Technical Support: Train field technicians and provide escalation support.
