Job summary

Form Energy is hiring a Director of Commissioning and Field Service to lead the deployment, operation, and maintenance of utility-scale energy storage projects. You will build a world-class field service team responsible for commissioning, post-installation service, and rapid issue resolution.

You will develop and implement field service strategy, processes, and training, ensuring high uptime, safety, and customer satisfaction, while collaborating with engineering, product, and manufacturing

Qualifications

• 10+ years leadership in Commissioning, Field Service, or Field Operations for utility-scale energy, industrial, or complex electro-mechanical systems.
• 4+ years managing a global or large regional team.
• Practical experience with energy storage systems including power electronics, HV systems, and SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Commissioning and Field Service organization, including hiring, training, and managing managers, engineers, and technicians.
• Develop and execute the commissioning playbook from construction completion to COD.
• Own the O&M strategy with standards, safety protocols, and QA for commissioning and field service.
• Manage MTTR and Availability, preventative maintenance, and rapid-response for SLAs.
• Oversee P&L for field service, LTSA negotiations, and warranty exposure.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering/Management and Manufacturing for field feedback.
• Develop technical documentation: checklists, test protocols, emergency plans, O&M manuals, training.
• Budget, spare parts, service contracts, and vendor relationships; travel up to 40%.
