Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician for the Freezpak site in Baytown, TX to perform preventive maintenance and service fuel cell systems in electric lift trucks.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot, install field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades, provide on-call support, order parts, and report field activities while maintaining safety and quality at all times. Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis unassisted.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications is highly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a location.
• Field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support service to customers as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support as required.
• Travel as required for business needs and represent Plug Power professionally.
• Report incidents, service logs, inventory, and site documentation.
