Job description

As a Lead Field Service Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality service and support to our customers by evaluating, testing, and maintaining complex combustion systems and equipment. You will utilize your technical expertise to identify issues and provide exceptional customer service in the field.

You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you will work out of our Cleveland, Ohio location on a Remote work schedule.

As the Lead Field Service Technician, you will impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by ensuring timely and effective resolution of service requests, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams. You’ll work remotely for our Honeywell facility at various customer locations. Travel is a must, expect 70% to 80% travel requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • After proper Honeywell-specific training, you will be expected to perform testing, maintenance, and preventative maintenance of combustion systems and equipment at customer sites.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in field service or technical support roles.

  • 3+ years technical knowledge of electronic, mechanical, or software systems relevant to Honeywell products experience. PLC knowledge is a plus.

  • 3+ years of experience in inspecting complex technical equipment.

  • Experience using diagnostic tools and service management software tools.

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Must be willing and have the ability to travel 70% to 80% to customer sites domestically and occasionally internationally

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field preferred.

  • Experience working in industrial or commercial service environments.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in field assignments.
