Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician to oversee fire alarm systems—inspections, testing, installation, and troubleshooting. You will report to the Field Service Manager and operate on a Hybrid schedule from our Iowa City location, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

You will guide technicians, coordinate service activities, and stay current with industry standards while delivering high-quality fire protection solutions for our customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in field service focusing on fire alarm systems (inspections, testing, installation, troubleshooting).
• 1–2 years of technical knowledge of fire alarm systems.
• 1–2 years of experience leading field service teams or projects.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex on-site technical issues.
• Willingness to acquire NICET certification within the first year due to state code requirements.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to learn software programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead field service operations focused on fire alarm systems including inspections, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical expertise and support to field technicians and customers to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Coordinate and schedule service activities to meet customer demands and SLAs.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on fire alarm systems and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and improve service delivery.
• Stay current with industry standards, codes, and advancements in fire alarm technology.
• Ensure all work complies with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
