Job summary

BCSP is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to lead jobsite safety execution for electrical construction projects. The role involves directing Safety Coordinators, validating Pre-Task Safety Instructions and Job Hazard Analyses, and enforcing high-risk controls such as LOTO and energized work restrictions.

The position requires 5–7+ years in T&D safety, OSHA 30/1910.269, and strong incident-investigation capabilities. Travel to job sites and mentorship of field teams are essential components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5–7+ years in T&D safety, with minimum 3 years in outside line operations or utility construction.
• OSHA 30 (Construction) or equivalent preferred; OSHA 1910.269 training required.
• OSHA 500 and 510 certifications strongly preferred; ET&D Trainer certification is a plus.
• FEMA IC 100/200/700 certification required or able to complete within 90 days of hire.
• First Aid/CPR/AED Train-the-Trainer certification required or able to complete within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety execution and direct Safety Coordinators on project sites.
• Promote high-risk controls and PSI/JHA validation; enforce LOTO and safe work practices.
• Coaching field leadership on hazard recognition, documentation, and corrective actions.
• Support incident response, initial data gathering, and coordinate with leadership for immediate controls.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, NESC, and MUTCD across all activities.
• Coordinate site-specific safety plans and maintain client/GC safety requirements.
