Job summary
Spencer Ogden is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support heavy construction projects with a focus on Transmission & Distribution. You will lead site-specific safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to maintain a safe work environment.
The role requires managing safety trainings, conducting inspections, investigating incidents, documenting records, and traveling between project sites as needed to uphold safety
Qualifications
- Must have Transmission & Distribution (T&D) experience.
- OSHA Construction and General Industry regulations knowledge (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience with EM 385-1 and NEC standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead site-specific Safety & Health policies and programs for heavy construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, NIOSH and other safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and performance reviews.
- Identify hazards, implement corrective actions and address safety risks.
- Lead safety training and maintain audit-ready records and daily field safety reports.
- Investigate near misses, accidents and incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Communicate safety findings and improvement opportunities to site personnel and leadership.
- Travel between project sites to support safety objectives.
