Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to supervise daily field operations, plan crew workloads, and enforce safety on job sites in Grand Rapids, MI. You will work with management to determine hiring needs and coordinate with customers for access and scope.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to travel for storm work. A CDL and driving responsibilities are part of the position, with a competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must understand drawings and symbols representing lines and equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities required.
• Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to travel for storm work and work in field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily crew work after orders are given.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew on new job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policy.
• Coordinates with property owners on access and work scope; resolves issues.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports for crew operations.
• Monitors costs, manpower, and equipment usage; reports incidents as needed.
• Sets up safety barriers and ensures public safety at work sites.
