Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Foreperson to lead daily crew operations, coordinate field work, training, and safety compliance. You will work with management to recruit/hire needs and ensure projects meet deadlines while maintaining customer relationships.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, CDL, and the ability to travel for storm work; responsibilities include supervising crew, maintaining records, and enforcing OSHA safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Must have organization skills and be able to multi-task.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Must be able to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices and conducts safety training per company policies and OSHA.
• Discusses issues with property owners/customers and obtains permission to perform work.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports on crew performance and costs.
• Inspects and maintains tools, trucks, and equipment.
• Keeps crew informed and coordinates with management and customers as needed.
