Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Project Field Engineer in Lake Charles, LA to provide specialized field engineering, planning, material management, and quality control. You will coordinate with subcontractors, manage field purchases, and verify quantities to ensure safe, compliant project execution.

Responsibilities cover drawing preparation, planning methods, safety adherence, and continuous learning, with a focus on system turnover and turnover coordination within a heavy industrial LNG project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
• Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures.
• Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
• Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
• Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems.
• Ensures zero accident philosophy and safety standards are followed.
• Proactively pursues learning opportunities in field engineering.
• Develops understanding of system scoping and drawings for package development.
• Reviews and approves inspection test plans and coordinates subcontractor submittals.
