Job summary

Strategic PowerGen Solutions seeks a Lead Service Engineer to guide field teams performing maintenance, repair, and overhaul on large-bore marine and power generation engines. The role covers heavy-duty MAN B&W MC/ME platforms and other large engines, with field assignments across the U.S. and internationally.

You will lead diagnostics, inspections, and overhauls, mentor technicians, and ensure safety and quality. Travel will be substantial; candidates may reside anywhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with large-bore engines in marine or power generation.
• Leadership of field service teams on major engine overhauls.
• Strong knowledge of engine mechanical and control systems.
• Ability to plan mobilizations and manage projects to completion.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead field service activities on large-bore engines for marine and power generation.
• Diagnose engine mechanical and control systems; support auxiliary equipment.
• Oversee inspections, repairs, and component replacements.
• Mentor Service Engineers and Technicians on site.
• Prepare technical service reports and project documentation.
• Ensure safety compliance and incident reporting.
• Coordinate tools, parts, and customer communications.
• Travel to domestic and international sites as required.
