Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics invites applications for a senior Field Access leadership role focused on payer strategies, patient access, and lifecycle support across product launches.

Lead a high-performing team of Field Access Managers, partnering with Market Access, Patient Services, HUB vendors, and Specialty Pharmacies to optimize access pathways. This role demands strategic thinking, deep payer knowledge, and proven leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in market access, field reimbursement, patient services, specialty pharmacy, or related commercial functions.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing field-based access/reimbursement/market access teams.
• Deep understanding of payer policy, reimbursement pathways, prior authorization, specialty pharmacy distribution, and patient support programs.
• Experience with HUB systems, case management platforms, and specialty pharmacy data feeds.
• Proven success launching specialty pharmaceutical products and leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills; ability to translate complex access issues into practical solutions.
• Experience in a fast-paced commercial launch or growth-stage environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team of Field Access Managers; set performance expectations and field execution standards.
• Develop and execute field access strategies to improve patient access, reduce reimbursement barriers, and support product launches and lifecycle management.
• Partner cross-functionally with Market Access, Patient Services, HUB vendors, Specialty Pharmacies, Sales, and Commercial Operations to optimize patient support processes and resolve systemic access challenges.
• Monitor and improve access performance metrics (time to therapy, prior authorization approvals, prescription conversion, abandonment, specialty pharmacy fulfillment).
• Analyze payer, HUB, specialty pharmacy, and claims data to identify trends and generate actionable insights for access strategies and operational improvements.
• Serve as field access subject matter expert; provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership and ensure compliant execution.
