Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks an Associate Director, Field Access Management to lead a team of Field Access Managers. You will execute the field access strategy, oversee team success, and educate on payer coverage, prior authorizations, and patient support programs.

You will maintain SOPs for Hub operations and collaborate with sales and marketing to shape access strategy. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in pharma/biotech, with 30–35% travel and a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech.
  • Minimum 3 years in patient support, healthcare sales/operations, PM, or reimbursement.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare Part B, Medicaid and commercial insurance processes.
  • Expertise in pharmaceutical compliance and HIPAA.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; capable of stakeholder engagement.
  • Understanding of hub and patient support activities.
  • Willingness to travel 30–35% within the assigned territory.

  • Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Hub, specialty pharmacy, FAMs, and interactions with field sales to support appropriate therapy access.
  • Provide proactive field-based access education by identifying and addressing access issues and sharing successes.
  • Educate and communicate technical knowledge of patient enrollment, payer coverage policies, prior authorization, appeals, patient support programs, and Hub operations.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings with sales, market access, and marketing to align on access landscape, issues, and strategy.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree; 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech.
  • Minimum 3 years in patient support, healthcare sales/operations, project management, or reimbursement support.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare Part B, Medicaid, and commercial insurance and access processes (benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals).
  • Expertise in pharmaceutical compliance and HIPAA.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills; ability to engage/influence stakeholders.
  • Competent understanding of hub and patient support activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid environment with 30-35% travel; must reside in assigned territory/metro area.
