Job summary

AGE Solutions seeks experienced Cable Technicians to support a federal customer in Washington, DC. This hands-on role requires fiber optic installation, splicing, testing, and documentation across inside and outside plant facilities, with night work and on-site duties in secure campus environments.

Candidates must have DoD Top Secret clearance and 5+ years of relevant experience. The project covers enterprise voice, data, and fiber systems with strict safety and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance required.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in fiber/cabling.
• Experience leading small teams in federal environments.
• Hands-on fiber optic installation, fusion splicing, testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with inside and outside plant fiber infrastructure.
• Ability to read telecom drawings and installation documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, splicing, termination, testing, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cabling.
• Support inside plant and outside plant fiber infrastructure across campus environments.
• Install, route, pull, air‑blow fiber through conduit, innerduct, microduct, and pathways.
• Perform fusion splicing, splice tray management, fiber enclosure installation.
• Ensure all work complies with federal, safety, and site requirements.
• Maintain installation documentation, splice records, and test results.
• Coordinate with engineers, PMs, and government personnel to support timelines.
