Job summary

Network Connex is seeking a fiber optic splicing technician in Monroe, LA to support mid-level splicing projects for underground and aerial fiber placements. You will prep cables, perform splices, and test using OTDR and power meters, while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of experience performing or assisting with fiber optic splicing projects.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).

Responsibilities

• Performs mid-level jobsite preparation for underground, aerial and ISP fiber placement splicing projects.
• Preps fiber optic cables using shavers and splitters for splicing projects (armored, dielectric, MIC, wet/dry).
• Determines cable direction and follows safety practices when entering splice cases; installs cables into splicing cases.
