Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services in Indianapolis, IN is seeking experienced Senior Superintendents to oversee day-to-day field operations on large-scale long-haul fiber installation projects across multiple states.

You will develop project plans, monitor performance, mentor site staff, and ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety programs. This site-based role requires travel to various offices and project sites.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent.
Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment.
Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset.
Effective communication and leadership skills.
Ability to supervise craft employees and sub-contractors.
Strong problem-solving abilities and anticipation of issues.
Strong knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specs, and current practices.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
Lead development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs; oversee incident investigations.
Review and update construction schedules; address delays and contribute to scheduling.
Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
Track and report financial aspects of the project.
Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations.
Set priorities and allocate resources for the entire field team.
Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents.
