Job summary

IQ Fiber is seeking a Manager, Technical Operations in Clearwater, FL to lead and mentor a team of installation and service technicians, oversee day-to-day field activities, and partner with senior leadership to align on goals.

The role focuses on improving end-user experience, managing KPIs, maintaining safety standards, and driving continuous improvement within a fast-paced, customer-focused fiber network environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical operations teams in fiber installations and service.
• Strong documentation and SOPs creation experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and field operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of installation and service technicians; manage onboarding, training, reviews, and career growth.
• Oversee daily field activities including FTTH installations and customer service calls; assist in field as needed.
• Drive a high-performance culture focused on service excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Set and monitor KPIs and quality metrics; use reports to spot trends and drive improvements.
• Create and maintain SOPs, knowledge bases, and training materials for field ops.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and manage field resources and budget.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and workload to meet demand and growth.
• Provide after-hours coverage and serve as escalation point for complex field issues.
