Job summary

Family Service of Rhode Island, Inc. seeks a seasoned FCV Program Supervisor to lead a trauma‑informed, multidisciplinary team delivering supervised visitation, parent coaching, and case management to families pursuing reunification with their children.

You will oversee assessments, staff development, contract and Medicaid compliance, and on‑site visits. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a human service field and at least 5 years of comparable experience, including work with children and families.
• Knowledge of child welfare system required.
• Outstanding communication skills: written, verbal and presentation skills a must.
• Previous supervisory experience with ability to coach, motivate and train staff.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to travel to various locations; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management and supervised visitation services to families enrolled in the FCV program.
• Oversee initial assessments and treatment plans for all assigned children and families within 30 days.
• Ensure timely performance evaluations for case managers.
• Provide direct supervision, support, and guidance to program case managers and foster professional development.
• Deliver training and onboarding support to new case managers.
• Carry visitation caseload and complete all necessary documentation.
• Transport clients as needed and maintain visit safety protocols.
