Job summary

Brown County is seeking a Lead Mechanic for the downtown Courthouse Square area. Under supervision, you will lead the Facility Workers and Mechanic team while performing maintenance on all facility equipment to keep systems operational.

The role includes basic electrical troubleshooting, HVAC and boiler work, plumbing, carpentry, reading blueprints, and overseeing PMs. Requires a high school diploma with 3 years of maintenance experience; valid Wisconsin driver’s license and ability to pass FBI

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 3 years maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of maintenance, alteration and repair of buildings and facilities.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Must have Wisconsin Driver's License and FBI background check clearance.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment; perform PM duties.
• Repair HVAC, air conditioning, refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Operate and maintain boilers and related equipment.
• Repair plumbing systems.
• Carpentry for offices and building structures.
• Read blueprints, sketches and specifications.
• Maintain grounds equipment and perform miscellaneous tasks.
• Prepare reports and assist budget processes.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
