Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled facilities maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on complex facility systems at multiple locations across Illinois.

This full-time role requires 5+ years of industrial/trades maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and advanced computer skills. Schedule is primarily day shift, Monday–Friday with occasional after-hours on-call; pay is $33.05–$49.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills required.
• Advanced computer skills/competency in using Microsoft Office, Building Automation Systems, Pneumatic Tube Systems.
• Knowledge of applicable compliance codes and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and technical repairs on complex facility systems.
• Diagnoses and implements complex repairs for multiple Utility System, Infrastructure and Life Safety Systems.
• Installs/replace and maintains building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and controls systems.
• Operates, monitors and maintains advanced utility equipment and building automation systems to improve efficiencies.
• Maintains vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems.
• Reads and updates blueprints, Life Safety drawings and manuals for accurate task completion.
• Interfaces with vendors, contractors and construction vendors to ensure safe interfacing and tie-in.
• Coordinates, scheduling and ensures required testing, calibrations and maintenance records are provided and maintained.
