Job summary

Perry Technical Institute is seeking a Lead Facilities Technician at our Yakima campus. The role leads maintenance staff, coordinates daily activities, and undertakes complex repairs to keep facilities safe and functional.

The position is full‑time, Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM, with overtime as needed. PTI offers employer‑paid medical, dental, and vision, a 401(k) with match, and a four‑day work week to support work‑life balance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience with leadership responsibility.
• Experience in multiple building trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
• Strong planning, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to read work orders, manuals, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership to maintenance staff and student workers.
• Coordinate maintenance projects from planning to completion.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair building systems.
• Ensure safety, quality workmanship, and compliance with standards.
• Balance priorities and allocate resources effectively.
