Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Charlotte, NC seeks an Assistant Chief Engineer to oversee the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems of the assigned facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, manage routine operations, and ensure reliability of building systems.

This role may be the solo engineer on site and may supervise maintenance staff. Candidates should have a strong trade background, familiar with energy management and safety standards, and able to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; apprentice/trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related trade experience in operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with or conduct daily operations and maintenance of MEP systems.
• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable and monitor activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and inspect/repair equipment.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and technicians; maintain inventory.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure safety and compliance.
