Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks an Assistant Chief Engineer to oversee daily operations and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems at a commercial property in Atlanta. This role may be the sole engineer on-site and may supervise maintenance staff to ensure reliability and safety.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of trade experience, necessary licenses, and EPA Universal refrigerant certification.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related trade experience in operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; apprentice program/trade school preferred.
• Appropriate trade license(s) may be required (e.g., Journeyman/Master Electrician; other licenses).
• EPA Universal certification for CFC/HFC refrigerants (EPA 608) or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain MEP systems and general building maintenance.
• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable and assign activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance: filters, belts, lamps, bearings, alignment, inspections.
• Coordinate with contractors; manage inventory and supplies.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure safety and compliance.
• Prepare monthly building operation reports for management.
