Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer to manage and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at the assigned facility. The role may involve supervising maintenance staff and coordinating with contractors to ensure system reliability and safety.

Qualifications include 5+ years of MEP experience, HVAC knowledge, and required licenses/certifications. A high school diploma or GED is required, with apprentice or trade school preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related trade experience in operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; apprentice/trade school preferred.
• Possess appropriate trade licenses/permits as required (Journeyman/Master Electrician, etc.).
• Universal EPA 608 refrigerant certification for service/repair of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations and maintenance of MEP systems and general maintenance requirements for the buildings.
• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable and assign/monitor activities and projects.
• Perform preventive maintenance: replace filters, lubricate motors, replace lamps/ballasts/fixtures, inspect belts, bearings, align shafts, etc.
