Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to lead and support the engineering team in maintaining facility systems at our Nashville site. The role focuses on HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, ensuring safety and optimal performance.

You will supervise maintenance, analyze malfunctions, manage work orders in CMMS, mentor staff, monitor BAS alarms, and uphold OSHA and company safety policies while delivering excellent service to tenants.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with technical training or degree.
• Universal EPA / CFC license.
• Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related maintenance.
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• CAPA management and OSHA safety enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
• Analyze and troubleshoot building systems to resolve malfunctions.
• Use CMMS to manage and complete work orders and preventive maintenance tasks per SLAs and KPIs.
• Lead and mentor team in HVAC, electric, plumbing, and related areas.
• Monitor Building Automation Systems (BAS) and respond to alarms.
• Maintain records for building rounds, readings, refrigerant logs, safety policies and OSHA compliance.
• Enter work orders for resolution after rounds and inspections.
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants and agencies with minimal disruption.
• Support after-hours building activities and on-call rotations as needed.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and PPE.
