Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a lead electrical engineer within the facilities engineering team. You will design, build, and activate advanced power systems for infrastructure projects, leading a team of engineers and coordinating with trades, internal customers, and utilities.

You will ensure reliable power distribution, implement switchgear, UPS systems, generators, and grounding, and maintain compliance with NFPA and IBC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience on electrical projects, power distribution, switchgear, UPSs, and/or generators.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of electrical engineers and work with other disciplines to provide detailed electrical design and specifications for power systems and equipment.
• Provide electrical engineering support to facility technicians to troubleshoot existing equipment.
• Perform load flow analysis and power distribution evaluation.
• Ensure interface compatibility with other mechanical and electrical systems and power budgets.
• Coordinate electrical installations with local utilities and ensure compliance with codes (NFPA 70E, NFPA 70, NFPA 497, NFPA 101, AFSPCMAN 91-710, IBC).
