Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Facilities) to design, build and activate high-power electrical systems for new construction projects. You will collaborate across disciplines to deliver robust power distribution, lighting, grounding, UPS, generators, and controls for critical infrastructure.

You will work with engineers, architects, and partners to meet facility power budgets, coordinate with local utilities, ensure code compliance (NFPA 70E/70 NEC etc.), and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of professional experience on electrical projects, power distribution, switchgear, UPSs, and/or generators.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical power distribution and switchgear.
• Support facility technicians to troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Perform load flow analysis and equipment evaluation.
• Coordinate electrical installations with utilities.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA codes and IBC.
• Review and analyze electrical designs for budgets.
