Job summary

EKHO Infrastructure Solutions in King George, VA is seeking a Lead Fabricator (Working Lead) to support daily fabrication and welding in the precast facility. You will work under the Plant Manager and coordinate with the Project Manager to meet production schedules and safety standards.

This role is hands-on with no direct supervision but requires guiding Fabricators and Helpers, reviewing shop drawings, and ensuring workmanship aligns with specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• 4+ years of fabrication and welding experience in a precast environment.
• Ability to read shop drawings and blueprints with attention to tolerances.
• Proficient in MIG welding; certifications are a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on fabrication, welding, and modification of forms in precast production.
• Assign and coordinate daily work for Fabricators and Helpers under Plant Manager direction.
• Review shop drawings to ensure clarity and accuracy prior to fabrication.
• Ensure work meets specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to understand requirements, priorities, and timelines.
• Communicate status, delays, or issues to Plant Manager promptly.
• Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and mentor less experienced teammates.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work environment; comply with PPE rules.
• Assist with material planning and notify leadership of shortages or needs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and quality.
