Job summary

EKHO Infrastructure Solutions seeks a hands-on Lead Fabricator (Working Lead) to support daily fabrication and welding in our precast facility. This role reports to the Plant Manager and coordinates with the Project Manager to ensure work is safe, accurate, and on schedule.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of fabrication and welding in a manufacturing or precast environment, strong ability to read blueprints, MIG welding skills, and a willingness to guide teammates on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 4+ years of fabrication and welding in precast/manufacturing.
• Strong ability to read shop drawings and blueprints.
• Proficient in MIG welding; certifications are a plus.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication, welding, and modification of precast forms and components.
• Assign and coordinate daily work for Fabricators and Helpers.
• Review shop drawings and blueprints for clarity before fabrication.
• Ensure work meets specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to understand requirements and timelines.
• Communicate status, delays, or issues to Plant Manager promptly.
• Troubleshoot challenges and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Support training and knowledge-sharing with junior team members.
• Maintain safe, organized work environment and proper PPE.
• Assist with material planning and notify leadership of shortages.
