Job summary

EKHO Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Lead Fabricator to support daily fabrication and welding in its precast facility. You will work under the Plant Manager and coordinate with the Project Manager to meet schedules, provide technical guidance, and ensure safe, accurate workmanship.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in fabrication and welding within a manufacturing or precast setting, with strong blueprint reading and MIG welding proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• 4+ years of fabrication and welding experience in manufacturing or precast environments.
• Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
• Proficient in MIG welding; certifications are a plus.
• Experience with oxy‑acetylene cutting torch and standard fabrication equipment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on fabrication, welding, and modification for precast forms.
• Assign daily work for fabricators and helpers per Plant Manager guidance.
• Review shop drawings and blueprints for clarity before fabrication.
• Ensure work meets specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to understand requirements and timelines.
• Communicate production status and issues to the Plant Manager promptly.
• Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and escalate complex issues.
• Support training and knowledge sharing with less experienced team members.
• Ensure proper use of tools and equipment (shears, saws, drills, welding).
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow PPE rules.
• Assist with material planning and notify leadership of shortages.
• Support continuous improvement for efficiency, quality, workflow.
• Other duties as assigned.
