Job summary

Movement Search & Delivery seeks an experienced engineer to own and optimize high-volume roll stock extrusion processes in a United States manufacturing setting. You will drive process stability, yield, and throughput while reducing scrap through data-driven root cause analysis.

The role requires hands-on leadership, collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance and Product Development, and program involvement from concept through implementation. Green/Black Belt preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Polymer, Plastics Engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years in extrusion, polymer manufacturing or high-volume environments.
• Experience with blown/cast film, flexible packaging, or plastics extrusion preferred.
• Strong understanding of polymer processing, equipment and troubleshooting.
• Experience applying SPC, DOE, root-cause analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma in manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience driving process improvements and uptime.
• Experience supporting capital projects or trials is preferred.
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration in a hands-on setting.
• Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize roll stock extrusion processes for stability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot extrusion issues related to materials, temperature, gauge, and downstream operations.
• Drive reductions in scrap, downtime, and process variation via data-driven RCAs.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma projects focused on yield, throughput, and setup reduction.
• Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, startups, trials, and new technology.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance and Product Development for launches and improvements.
• Strengthen process control, safety, quality and standards through SPC, DOE, FMEA and problem solving.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and floor support in a high-volume environment.
