Job summary

First Command seeks an experienced User Experience Researcher & Designer to lead end-to-end, user-centered design across web and mobile. You will craft flows, journeys, and prototypes in Figma, partnering with product, engineering, and research teams to define requirements and deliver impactful solutions.

You will mentor junior designers, advance design systems, and leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate ideation while maintaining accessibility and a human-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Degree in HCI or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years in UX research/design with leadership experience.
• Strong skills in presenting, storytelling, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design of user-centered experiences across web and mobile.
• Create flows, journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, researchers, and analysts to define requirements.
• Mentor junior designers and drive design system evolution with accessibility in mind.
