Job summary

Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection, on Alabama’s Gulf Coast, seeks an experienced Event Manager to flawlessly execute hotel events. You will coordinate with sales and hotel departments to deliver memorable experiences and oversee every detail from planning to post-event follow-up.

Ideal candidates bring strong organizational skills, client-relations focus, and a track record of managing budgets and room blocks across multiple events in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating hotel events and managing client expectations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Ability to coordinate across sales, hotel departments and guests.

Responsibilities

• Event Coordination & Communication: liaison between sales, departments and clients across pre-event, event-day, and post-event stages.
• Client & Guest Relations: manage experiences from file turnover to post-event follow-up.
• Event Planning & Execution: lead pre-/post-event meetings, including BEOs and room block reviews.
• Room Block & Space Allocation: manage groups and spaces using Marriott tools to ensure accuracy.
• Budget & Revenue Management: forecast group sleeping rooms and event revenue; upsell offerings.
• Trends & Innovation: apply current event-management trends to guest experiences.
• Quality Control & Feedback: collect client feedback and resolve issues with teams.
• Sales Support & Site Inspections: participate in client site visits and support sales.
• Compliance & Standards: adhere to company policies and event-management standards.
