Fooda is hiring a Lead Event Coordinator for the Palo Alto market. The role focuses on onsite event support, restaurant coordination, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers 32–35 hours per week with a starting wage of $22–$26 per hour, plus PTO, 401k match, commuter benefits, and opportunities for advancement. Must be authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Responsibilities

• Onsite setup, tear down, cleaning equipment, problem-solving, and ensuring high-quality customer experience.
• Serve as back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés when teammates are unavailable.
• Coordinate with restaurants to schedule access to the building and onsite service.
• Become proficient with Fooda’s technology and standard operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot issues like incorrect orders, late deliveries, or miscommunication via email.
• Resolve technical issues with POS, onsite tech, and TV menu boards.
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and coach users on the mobile app.
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly with customers.
• Audit restaurant event setups to ensure consistency and quality.
• Escalate problems to the Operations Manager when needed for resolution.
• Work primarily during core hours Monday–Friday (roughly 9am–3pm).

Fooda is currently recruiting for a full time Lead Event Coordinator in our Palo Alto market. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a hospitality or events background who are eager to learn about food service, work with great customers, and support a broad network of excellent local restaurants.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: 1.) being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience, 2.) serve as back-up cashier at Fooda Cafés for team members who have time off, and 3.) getting restaurants onsite and access to the building
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Troubleshoot technical issues with point-of-sale (POS) system, onsite technology, and TV menu boards
• Conduct onsite Fooda promotions and mobile app coaching
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• Critical hours Monday- Friday (9am – 3pm)
