Job summary

Fooda, a workplace meal program network, is seeking a part-time Event Coordinator in New Jersey. You’ll support on-site event setup, execution, and customer service across a rotating roster of partner restaurants, using Fooda’s tech and procedures.

The role is 20–25 hours per week, requires strong communication, customer-service focus, and ability to drive locally. Prior catering or serving experience is preferred and familiarity with a fast-paced startup environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Fooda events in various capacities, including onsite setup, tear down, and site clean-up.
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operating procedures.
• Trouble-shoot issues like incorrect orders, late deliveries, or miscommunication.
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues.
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event setup for consistency and quality.
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary.

Fooda is currently recruiting for a part time Event Coordinator in our New Jersey market. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a hospitality or events background who are eager to learn about food service, work with great customers, and support a broad network of excellent local restaurants.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Fooda events in a variety of capacities, including: being onsite to set-up, tear down, clean equipment and site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high quality set-up and customer experience
• Gain competency with Fooda’s technology and standard operations procedures
• Problem-solve for issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, late restaurant arrivals, or incorrect email communication
• Provide real-time onsite customer service to resolve issues promptly directly with the consumer
• Facilitate audits of restaurant event set-up to ensure consistency and high quality
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager when necessary to keep them informed or help problem solve
• On-site Schedule: Tuesday through Thursday 8AM-2PM

• Prior catering or serving experience strongly preferred
