Job summary

Jeffrey A. Miller Hospitality Group (JAM) is seeking an experienced Event Captain to lead service teams at weddings, corporate events, and other special events in the Greater Philadelphia area.

As the on-site leader, you will supervise staff, ensure events run smoothly by coordinating with clients, venues, and the kitchen team. This role requires 1–2 years of leadership in catering or hospitality, excellent communication and time-management skills, and availability to work evenings, weekends,

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of leadership experience in catering, banquets, restaurants, or hospitality.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and supervise event staff during 10-hour event shifts.
• Manage event setup, service, and breakdown.
• Coordinate service between clients, venue staff, and the kitchen.
• Maintain high standards of hospitality and professionalism.
• Complete event paperwork and payroll documentation.
• Ensure guests receive an outstanding experience.
