Job summary

Jeffrey A. Miller Hospitality Group in the Philadelphia area is hiring seasonal front-of-house event staff to support our weddings and large events across 16 venues. Joining JAM means joining a diverse team and delivering exceptional hospitality at every wedding.

Expect shifts typically 10 hours long, with a typical pay of $150–$200 per shift and occasional cash tips. Candidates should have reliable transportation and be able to lift 20 lb, with events running Fridays through Sundays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 20 lbs and stand for up to 9 hours.
• Reliable transportation to venues in the Philadelphia area.
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Unpack equipment and set up tables and chairs.
• Serve guests during cocktail hour and dinner.
• Attend to guests' needs and provide hospitality.
• Clean up and pack equipment after events.

Please view our short video on why JAM is a great place to work! https://vimeo.com/1012489292Responsibilities & DutiesUnpacking equipment from our truck and setting up tables, chairs, etc.Serving guests by butlering and bussing food throughout cocktail hour and dinner.Providing hospitality by attending to guests’ needs.Cleanup, breakdown, and packing of our equipment used during the event.RequirementsYou should be able to drive yourself to our venues in and around Philadelphia, including Media, Wallingford, Paoli, and Audubon.Physical requirements include being able to lift 20 lbs and being on your feet for the duration of an average 9-hour shift (there are breaks and time for staff to eat).Schedule ExpectationsThe wedding season runs until end of November.There are events every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.A typical wedding shift is 10 hours, from 1pm to midnight.The typical shift is $150 - $200. Although it’s not guaranteed, you’ll often receive cash tips from the client at the end of a shift.
