Job summary

Fox Point Recruitment LLC is seeking an Estimating Manager to support preconstruction on large-scale commercial projects in Houston. You will develop detailed estimates for bids, coordinate subcontractor pricing, and identify cost-efficient construction approaches.

The ideal candidate has hands-on commercial general contractor experience and can independently estimate projects worth $20M or more, while mentoring junior estimators and partnering with operations and field teams.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Experience independently estimating $20M+ projects.
• Experience with takeoffs and estimating software.
• Strong Excel and vendor/subcontractor coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for bids and negotiated work.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Review plans and specs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate subcontractor and vendor pricing and scopes of work.
• Mentor junior estimators and collaborate with operations teams.
• Prepare cost summaries and bid documentation for milestones.
