Job summary

Blattner Company is seeking a Lead Environmental Manager for the Major Projects Group. This role provides environmental compliance leadership across a portfolio of utility-scale projects, coordinating with regulatory agencies, owners, and development staff.

The position is remote with regular travel to project sites during the lifecycle, with oversight of consultants and subcontractors. You will ensure compliance with NEPA, CWA, ESA, NHPA, CAA, and other permits, develop SWPPPs and SPCC plans,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in environmental compliance/management for utility-scale projects.
• Experience managing consultants and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental compliance oversight across multiple major projects.
• Direct third-party environmental consultants and manage scope, budget, and deliverables.
• Collaborate on permitting strategy with Owner/developer environmental and development staff.
• Review NEPA and CWA/ESA/NHPA/CAA permits and approvals.
• Develop SWPPPs, SPCC, and other site-specific plans.
• Lead audits and drive corrective actions.
• Communicate with EPA/USACE/USFWS and state agencies as needed.
