Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to provide strategic and hands-on technical leadership in a mission-critical DoW cybersecurity environment. Hybrid role with 3 days on site in Adelphi, MD, requiring TS/SCI with SAP eligibility and CISSP certification.

You will lead architecture, engineering, modernization, and technology integration across on-prem, hybrid-cloud, and multi-cloud environments, guiding government stakeholders and Leidos leadership.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT/cybersecurity experience required (degree plus experience).
• 4+ years supporting Federal Government as employee or contractor.
• Experience migrating services/applications to hybrid/multi-cloud.
• NIST/FISMA/FedRAMP knowledge.
• Experience shaping cybersecurity architecture and modernization.
• Strong communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate complex enterprise cybersecurity systems.
• Advise government stakeholders on cybersecurity strategy and architecture.
• Lead feasibility studies, PoCs, pilots and technology assessments.
• Assess cybersecurity risk across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Guide modernization and migration of services to hybrid/multi-cloud.
• Engage vendors and evaluate solutions for enterprise use.
• Communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to technical and executive audiences.
