Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to lead architecture, engineering, and modernization across a mission-critical cybersecurity environment for the CSSP. This role interfaces with Government leadership and emphasizes strategic and hands-on technical leadership.

The position requires a TS/SCI with SAP eligibility, U.S. citizenship, CISSP, and 3 days on site in Adelphi, MD, with hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 12+ years IT/cybersecurity experience; four years may substitute a degree.
• 4+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience supporting Federal Government.
• Experience migrating services/data from on-prem to hybrid/multi-cloud.
• Strong knowledge of NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity architecture, threat management, controls, practices.
• Experience identifying data/tech across on-prem and cloud.
• Experience vendor evaluation and solution design.
• Broad knowledge across enterprise IT, systems engineering, modernization.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and gain support for new tech.
• Experience leading transformation and improving services.
• CISSP certification.
• U.S. citizenship with active TS/SCI with SAP eligibility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, integration, and implementation of complex enterprise cybersecurity systems.
• Serve as senior technical advisor on enterprise cybersecurity strategy, architecture, risk, and modernization.
• Assess progress against cybersecurity strategies and provide recommendations.
• Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies and lead feasibility studies and pilots.
• Assess cybersecurity risk across platforms, networks, apps, and data environments.
• Provide engineering leadership for protecting and monitoring enterprise networks and systems.
• Lead development and integration of innovative cybersecurity solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Identify security-relevant data and technologies across on-prem and cloud environments and provide recommendations.
• Guide modernization initiatives migrating services to hybrid/multi-cloud architectures.
• Engage with vendors, evaluate solutions, and recommend technologies.
